Salinity

The next step is to determine the salinity requirements of the bioindicator and identify them spatially and temporarily (Montagna et al. 2002a, 2002b, 2009). Salinity is the main factor for associated biological responses in the case studies that will be presented. Salinity ranges are useful because it is possible to measure the amount of freshwater inflows that are associated with those salinity levels in a particular estuary.
